First forum I joined was a car forum, way back in 1997 or 1998, and the 1996 Dodge Viper GTS is, (or was, maybe not anymore,) my favorite car. So 96 GTS, and it's stuck ever since.

A play on the term Dog Days:

dog days (dôg dAz) plural noun
1.The hot, sultry period of summer between early July and early September.
2.A period of stagnation.

[Translation of Late Latin diês canìculârês, Dog Star days (so called because the Dog Star (Sirius) rises and sets with the sun during this time) : Latin diês, days + Late Latin canìculâris, of the Dog Star.]
I felt it implied "laid back". CeCe was very mellow when we got her. She's gotten a little "busier" since then. :p

It was originally Dizzywater after my ex's kid brothers college project.

Dizzywater = wine ;)

Or loopy juice.

I shorten it to Dizzy when I can, which is pretty much everywhere.

I have friends who actually ONLY call me Dizzy, and depending where I am, I can answer to that or my real name. (which is.... Dizzy - of course ;) )

It's usually a mix of people who know me by my real name, or Dizzy.. and I often get introduced as Dizzy (I go on a forum with people I know in real life, and when they introduce me to people at parties - it's "you know - Dizzy, off the forum".. and they go "ahhhhhhhhhh" and Dizzy sticks.

It's does make me wonder how often people think I am called Dizzy for being Ditzy though...... Which was never the intention. But somehow - if the shoe fits... haha :D

Good read. I think my name is self-explanatory.

I don't know. I've sent Chazhound & the mods my request, but they didn't really give me a clear answer why they cannot change it for me, they just don't.

It's okay, though, because I'm sure everyone here knows I have little Muffin in addition to the original M&M, Mocha & Missy, so it really doesn't matter.

It's a lot of work to have someone's name changed, all of your information has to go along with it and unless it's an extreme necessity the request isn't normally granted. Further, to quote Chaz himself (emphasis mine):
Name changes can be done, but are rare and very confusing for other members. Special circumstances are required.

My favorite Rolling Stones song is "Sister Morphine" and what's funny is that since I know many people off of the forums now they call me "Sis" instead of my real name. LOL!

Amstaffer...means I was not overly creative that day I signed up for this forum :p

I have American Staffordshire Terriers and they are usually called Amstaffs...so I just popped an "er" on the end and "Amstaffer" was born.
