the only one you have to study for is to join the ARMY police force, and then after the 4 years you can specialise. you just need
Education Standard:
GCSE grade C or above in English, Maths and a good level of secondary education with particular emphasis on communication skills. Neat, legible handwriting and good spelling. Numeracy skills must be of a good standard.
otherwise they teach you everything you need one you join.
the police and RAF police forces only need you to pass their tests, the police need you to pass a numeracy test and english test, meaning you need to be able to write well and speak it well. then you just have to pass the medical, physical etc test, just like the rest of them.
so yackaduck there isnt exactly much studying in school to be done, just the tests they need you to pass.
are you thinking of joining? are you in the UK?
the thing is that the 3 are very different jobs, im sure can imagine.
a police dog handler would be on the beat, and go to a crime for backup or to track someone, things like that.
a RAF police dog handler would mean that you guard the base that you are stationed at at night time. the aim is anti-terrorism. they need the dogs to make sure no one gets into the base and does something to the planes, etc. so they would mainly protrolling (sp) the area, or guarding something.
was there a reason you asked? if you want any info ill help you as much as i can from what i know.
an ARMY police dog handler i think, (dont take this part 100% as i havent looked into this one as much due to the 4 year wait untill you can become a dog handler) would be the same as a police dog handler but involved in the armys missions etc.
