It was *supposed* to snow here in Portland today, but I don't know why I even got my hopes up. I really wanted to see how Fable would react to it. She is from Southern California, so I don't know if she has ever seen snow before.
How do your dogs like the snow? Do they play in it and have fun, or are they just meant to live in a tropical climate? Pictures are welcome! I don't know what Fable will think of the snow when and if it comes, but I do know that she hates the rain. I told her that now that she is living in Portland she needs to get over it:

Gusto thinks snow is a gift from the gods, brought down to earth just for his pleasure.

Meg thinks she should have moved south. I think she'd make a real strong attempt at holding her pee for five months if I'd let her.

Scout boinged and frollicked the entire first half of our long walk. And played kill the stick. So cute!

Lily is pissed she didn't get to go husky... my friend is going to sit with Scout the second half of my dinner break later so I can take the Lily bug out. Probably on her 15' line so she can do her thing. :p

Abrams LOVES snow. Snow is AWESOME. It's, like, fluffy water than he can dig in and hide his tennis balls in.

Cynder doesn't care for snow. Snow is an extension of rain, and thus cold and wet. Fun to bound around in for a bit, but she gets a look of utter distaste on her face if it gets too cold and wet.

Mia likes it a while. Same with Summer but they get cold easily.

I am betting hank has a field day. He was hilarious at the agility trial with the sand/loose dirt floor. Kept burying his face in it and biting it. May get to see this weekend.

I have to drive for hours to find snow, but I've made the trek maybe three times to take Brisbane to see it. He thinks it's pretty cool, and that boinging through it and biting thrown snowballs are the best thing ever. He has never had that "world gone mad" experience if snow in his own personal territory before.

We took Ru to the snow once. He burrowed into a bag if scarves and hats and refused to leave the car. I fished him out and plopped him in the snow briefly to get a picture. It was Chihuahua Hell.

Crystal LOVES snow so much! She especially loves when you throw snowballs at her or when the snow is her height and she has to bounce and jump through it. Too bad we don't live in an area that has snow anymore...

Finn has never seen snow :(

I hope it snows a little this winter. We normally get one snow day a year, but last year we didn't get anything.

Leo has never been in the snow. Sad day :-(

We live in sunny California... and more recently drought California. So even though we get soooome snow in mountains usually, it has been next to nothing recently.

I would love to take him sometime though just to see what he would think. I kinda think he might not like it though. He is not a fan when it is wet and dreary outside.

The bostons hate it. It's way too cold.

Walter LOVES snow. He especially loves big piles of it that he can jump in. When we shovel the deck we have to chuck it up in the air for him so he can jump up and "catch" it. Then he plants his butt in a snow pile and will just chill outside forever. If I didn't know better I'd think he was a polar bear.

This will be the first snow that Hugo remembers, since we're pretty sure he was born Late Jan/early feb. I'm pretty excited to see how he reacts. He's pretty ambivalent about rain/storms.

Riley loves to run through it, come in, warm up a little, then back out again. Mick and Murph don't play too much in the snow but they do like to lounge in it...

Angel hates the snow.. when I take them out to go potty she hurries up and then runs back to the door and looks miserable and angry at Chloe and I to hurry up.

Chloe LOVES the snow. She thinks it's a huge game and wants people to kick snow at her face as she lunges and tries to eat it. Then she gets frustrated while waiting for the next kick of snow and will bite the ground and rip it up/spit it out. It is difficult to get her to go potty, I refuse to play with her until after she goes. She is also hard to get to go back inside even if she is shivering away.. (trying to find her a coat so she can spend some more time out there playing)

Sam thinks snow is the bee's knees. The best thing evar. Sometimes when I go up skiing I'll take him with. He stays in the car and every two or three laps I'll go down and run the car for an hour or so while he has a field day running around in the snow.

I don't think Wilson has ever seen snow. Being a summer puppy from Mississippi. I can't wait to get some more snow in the mountains and take them both up and see what they do.
