And what plans do you have for them?

Maggie and Reecie are my parents' dogs, so I really don't do anything with them except walk them and teach Maggie tricks for fun.

So, all you folks with dogs of your own, what all do you do with them? It doesn't matter if it's agility, conformation, schutzhund, dock diving, or just being a pet, anyone with plans or goals for their dog can post!

My plans and goals right now are to get both dogs their RN this year and continue on with rally. I'll be honest that it's not my favorite but it gets both dogs out and doing stuff so. Also, get Mia in a full years worth of agility classes. Right now Mia has her CGC. We just finished up a basic obedience class refresher and are about a month into rally-o classes. We tried treibball but I'm going to have to drop it for agility class ($). Mia had her first foundations agility class this week and the plan for now is to continue on with agility indefinitely. I'd like to get her trialing in a couple years. Probably AKC mainly.

I'm debating about what to do with Summer... I almost feel like I should try agility with her again but she's gotten some arthritis going. On most days though she loves playing with our jumps and stuff. Summer and I took 2 years worth of classes in agility, have taken trick training classes, and obedience classes.

Tempie is a cadaver dog. My future plans for her would be getting her internationally certified. Boone is still in training as a cadaver dog. I hope to get him certified by the end of the year, then try for a national certification next year, and then an international certification after that. *fingers crossed* But we'll see. I'm not going to rush him. I like to make sure they're mature and reliable enough that I'd feel comfortable putting them out on a real search before I even attempt to get them certified. So it all depends on how I think he has progressed by then.

My plans for Raja would be continuing to somewhat peacefully coexist with her.

Right now we are working through obedience classes with both Watson and Menchi. They are about to start advanced classes. Once we have those under our belts we are heading out to get a CGC on each of them (by we I mean me :D ).

We are going to try rally for fun class and if they like it we will try to get more serious. We are also going to try an agility for fun class and see how that goes for each of them.

The plans are not set in stone...it all depends on how each of my two takes to various tasks. Our main goal is to have lots of fun :D

Watson is going to at least get his JC in lure coursing though :) I already know he loves coursing. We have gotten to try it out a couple of times.

Besides hanging out hiking, going to parades, festivals and car/truck shows, etc, Caleb & I do Rally (he has his RN, working on his RA now), and Nosework. We might hit up the traditional obedience ring in the future, too. I'm also hoping to get him certified as a therapy dog. I've kind of been putting it off because my schedule at work wasn't going to fit with his visits (I work in the classroom he would be visiting). But we're going to all day Kindergarten next year, which will enable us to visit during which ever part of the day I'm not working.

Poke her while she sleeps.
LOL!!

Lugar is on full time squirrel patrol (in his mind at least).

We don't do anything super special like agility, fly ball, etc. He might do well at fly ball, but I don't know if he would have the drive for agility. Then again I've never tried so I don't know. haha. But I do some training with, teach him tricks & hubby loves to have him retrieve arrows. He built an atlatl (was invented before the bow, it's a stick with a notch at the end where you can propel the arrow, it's pretty cool) & for some reason Lugar is OBSESSED with chasing the arrows. I really don't know why, but he goes bonkers for them and knows the word "arrow". He has a high drive for those! He also likes to play frisbee.

He goes almost everywhere with us when we can take him and if it's not hot out. He loves the beach, loves car rides, loves walks. He's like our kid. He's been to Ohio & Missouri and all the states in between there & Florida from trips we've taken.

Everyone has been through basic obedience and takes a refresher class about once every 12-18 months. I've taken some "agility for fun" classes with Squash and Maisy. Squash LOVES it for the most part, but he loves being on things so he was in love with all the contact stuff from day one. Maisy seems a bit bemused by it all but she's a good sport. I may try out Rally with Squash, haven't completely decided yet. Their trainer thinks they would be good therapy dogs, but I'm going to wait until Squash matures a bit to decide about that. (ETA: Matures in his head, that is.)

I also do some urban mushing with Squash and Maisy. Scootering and canicross so far. We were supposed to skijor this winter, but... we didn't have enough snow. :( NEXT YEAR. Pip comes along for canicross but he's not really pulling, he just trots along with us. :p

In the summers I bring them camping. I've never been brave enough to bring all 3, but I've taken 2 at a time before. I prefer to take one at a time, hiking and stuff is easier and it's good one on one time. Pip is the best camping dog ever, he's incredibly reliable off leash and the place we usually go allows dogs off leash in the campground as long as they don't bother anyone else. It also makes hiking a dream (we are in some fairly remote areas).

I don't really do sports with Pip. He doesn't care for most things and the others scratch that itch for me. But he is my dog park dog - the dog park we use is several acres of wooded river bottom, so it's more like off leash hiking than anything else.

With Sam right now it's just walks, weekly trips to the newly found dog park and working on basic obedience.

Besides wanting to try and teach him some more tricks, I would love to get him doing some very basic and just for fun agility out in the back yard. Just to give him something to focus on. I loved being at the agility regionals and nationals as a volunteer and Sam has some interest in actually wanting to do something so I figure it can't hurt. Over all he is just a big goofy pet/ family member.

Oh I've also done a tricks class with Squash. He LOVED it. Really, he loves most things... but he really does seem to like figuring out whatever you're trying to teach him in the moment. It's a blessing and a curse. :p

Radar is about to begin obedience from there I plan on getting him into agility. I think he will have a ball he loves to jump and climb all over everything. The parks his favorite place in the world because I let him play on and climb all over the children's playsets during the day when it is empty. Now how well he will listen to me while doing so is a whole 'nother story, but I am really only looking at it as a fun activity for us, not a competitive one. We also hike at least once a week and I am hoping to hit the docks this summer with him.

Desoto's DA rules out pretty well all activities besides working on managing the DA. He also has an expanding list of tricks we are working on, he is the best trick dog I have owned.

Well, I feel like I always have lots of plans, and then never go anywhere with them, LOL.

We've dabbled in agility - I hope to do some more this year but unsure if I'll ever be interested in competing or anything.

I really really wanna go for getting Jackson his CGC this year finally.

Oh and dock diving. He dives off my dads pool all the time, so I'm curious how he'll do in another setting. We have an AWESOME facility very close to us that I just discovered, so, I'm very excited to try it out.

Other than that? He's mainly an amazing pet and best pal. Who needs a lot of activity though. lol.

You still haven't sent me the air fare! Or was the plan to just turn her loose and tell her to make her way to you? I forget.
You were supposed to turn her loose, and I'll go outside and yell her name til she finds her way. Let's do it in the summer though, it's too cold to wait outside right now. :p

Agility Agility Agility! I hope to get Izzie's AADC and AGDC by the end of the year and then have her regionals ready for 2013.

Rally I want to get her RN at least, perhaps get going in Advanced. I just don't know how much CKC we'll do.

Scenthurdle, get her racing. If we get our SHD title by years end that'd be super cool though, she'll be the first pug in Canada with it.

Ziva: agility (almost to her Agility Dog Champion title!) and Rally (one leg from her RN) for sports, she's my main trick dog and helps play distraction dog for my dog-dog aggression cases. Z also is my go to off leash hiking buddy.

Kestrel: dock diving (has his Master title, working on his Elite in BA, a few legs toward a Speed Retrieve title), agility (still working on weaves but he has a few legs in Starters Snooker and Jumpers), schutzhund/IPO (BH, working toward his IPO1 and perhaps an STP1), rally (one leg needed for his RN), main fancy obedience demo dog and dog I take out to work on skills in public most often. Kes is my main biking/rollerblading and on-lead hiking dog.

Aeri: dock diving (one jump from her Senior title, hoping to get some legs toward a Master BA title and a SR title this year too), schutzhund/IPO (we may be trying for her BH in April! eek!), in training for agility, obedience/rally, and conformation. We mostly have fun through all the training we do! :)

Snipe: in training for dock diving (hoping to start in BA this year) and agility. We may add in more formal obedience at some point, but right now we do basic skills and she's learning tricks for the heck of it, too.

Kiba: AGILITY! Hopefully she'll get her Novice AKC titles this summer. I have possible plans for her CATCH this summer/fall. Also dabbling around in USDAA and TDAA. If she manages her CATCH this year we'll probably start some Rally and working more with the other agility venues.

Stryder: Agility. Flyball if we ever find a club around here. Possibly dock diving or weight pull. I have in mind maybe Rally before Agility

Tsuki, Lincoln, Charlie: Agility!
