Show us your collections! What got you started? Where do you find the items you collect? Any rare finds in your collection? Brag, show off your pics. I wanna see 'em.

I only have old pictures but my litle ponys. They are boxed up till I move.
a very little part of it. A large part was saved from when I was little. Love these things.

Guns
But my only pic is of the big ones and the handguns are my thing. Most of these are from family members.

I go to the flea market and go through boxes and boxes of old family photos and pull out the ones with dogs and horses in them and eventually I hope to have a extra wall big enough to put some kind of collection together with them. I already have a ton of horse pics and paintings I have collected from equine affaire and quarter horse congress. I just hate that they were thrown in a box and forgotten.

I collect breyers and some ther 80s toys to. I have really tried to stop collecting things but its hard! And I started collecting those darn monster high dolls to! Some are so cute!

I keep an eye out of old nice furniture at yard sales but rarely find it. Pineterest will be my downfall and I am going to be a hoarder I swear. I bought the bf a saw and he started making me stuff;)

And purses but I only have pics of my one coach. Usually gifts from my dad:cool:

Dog hair and dirty laundry mostly.

There was a time when I collected knives. Hunting, utility, folding, fixed blade, etc. Anything unique, I'd pick up. Most of that collection has been thinned through the years, though.

heart rocks...my grans bring me one each time they find them. Some I paint some I dont.. Jory and I are collecting a bucket of skipping rocks to give my son for Christmas. Seemed like a good thing for 7 yr old to do. I like odd pieces of wood, Marbles, but we actually play and we lose some.
My one love is old dog sculptures. My grandmother left me hers and I have added to it when I see an unusual one at the thrift store.

Jory and I are working on a collection of 4 leaf clovers too. HE loves all things specially small. No matter what it is, so from seashells on out, I save teeny tiny things for him. He thought the miniature museum was rawking.

Books.

Trouble.

Small collection of pottery and porcelain, some Roseville, Lladro, Van Briggle, Hull, California Art pottery, some odd things. I've picked up quite a few at auctions. Bought a beautiful vase and wall vase (Roseville and Hull) at an auction house for $5.

If I had the means, I'd collect fountain pens, tarot cards, more art, especially from the Art Nouveau period.

I used to collect model horses, and still have them in a box somewhere. I can't find it in my heart to part with them, though.

I'm collecting Painted Ponies sort of. I get one for Christmas and one for my birthday from my aunt every year.

I'm now collecting Doctor Who books. Pic in a bit ;)

I'm not one to "collect" things that sit on shelves, except for handmade souvineers from vacations. In May I bought a few pieces of Nicaraguan pottery and a small painting. I bought a gorgeous print in Scotland of a BC and Highland Cattle from a small art/coffee store. In TN I bought a copper leaf sculpture from a man who has been making them all of his life. Those are just a few examples! I love supporting local artists in the places I visit... and my "collection" has all sorts of memories attached!

Ornaments... we get a new one on every vacation :)

Dog collars, for sure. Only nice leather ones.

Purses. I'm all matchy matchy with what I'm wearing.

Other than that, I don't collect anything.

I used to collect My Little Pony, Carebears, and Breyer Horses as a child, though!

Accumulating things is a whole other story, though! I hate clutter and try to clean my closet out yearly, and I ended up with 2 big bags of clothes to donate and a box of clothes to pass to my sister :yikes:

Shot glasses:

and bottle caps:

One of these days the bottle caps will get turned into refrigerator magnets, and I'll have to find something new to fill my candy machine with.

I also keep random scraps whenever Erin and I go to stuff. Fairs, carnivals, rodeos, movies, etc. I have a lunchbox full of stuff. Oh and we have a small collection of vinyl albums, but we don't really go looking for new ones. Although, if I had the money for it, I totally would. And I'd listen to them all the time.

Like joce I collect My Little Ponies (actually posting about my puppy on a pony message board and her response is how I found this place haha) but the only ones I have out on display right now are a very small collection of the most recent line. They are in cool little display boxes from The Container Store... but I haven't even styled their hair so they don't look very good hahaha. Everything else is boxed up. =/ The original ones from my childhood are the most important to me but I have a TON from when they re-released in 2003. At some point I intend to go through and weed them out to only the ones I love the most and get rid of the rest of the collection.

I also have a collection of Littlest Pet Shop animals from my childhood. I weeded out a bunch of those several years ago and only kept the ones I loved the most and sold the rest to other collectors.

I don't really actively collect things anymore, though I do like to purchase cute stuffed sheep when I find them, and I have a small shot glass collection. Somehow I don't think race medals or weights for my weight bar count as a collection LOL.

There has to be at least ten people I have sent here that actively post:p

I know someone on a forum that would buy mattresses for the sheep and then sell them-is that serta? And was that you:rofl1:

LMAO no, that wasn't me, BUT I did buy a new bed earlier this year and I really wanted one of the stuffed Serta sheep they had at the mattress place. You can buy them all over ebay though, so I figured I would just do that. XD Auggie's breeder actually has a picture of his brother as a tiny puppy with a HUGE Serta sheep...

I don't really "collect" things purposely per say. I like movies so I often buy movies so through the years I've wound up with quite a few DVDs but still not a gigantic collection like I've seen some people have. But still semi-alot. Oh and definitely dog colllars lol.

I collect anything Eeyore (from Winnie the Pooh). I've got mugs, stuffed animals, snow globes, pins, earrings, picture frames, notebooks, stickers. Basically if they've made anything with Eeyore on it I probably have it!

Fish? Lol! It's the only thing I have a bunch of. :p Maybe nail polish. XD

I don't really collect anything. I keep things with memories attached. For example, bracelets/necklaces that I wore to memorable events.

Books, to an extent. More like once I like an author, I will buy everything that author has ever written just to complete my series/author set.

Animal figurines. I hate dusting so I'm trying to not get too over the top with them, but I currently have a large bookcase shelf packed full of them.
