barb - how are you liking the nature's logic? they just started carrying it at the petstore where i buy my dogfood.
Sorry, haven't been to Chaz in a bit :)

Dante and I are loving the Nature's Logic. I rotate through the protiens and also use the canned for those special days :)
Been feeding it for a year now and Dante still does the dinner dance each night and the only sloppy poops have been this last week and that was due to hot weather.

Depending on the variety it costs between $1.50 and $2.50 a day to feed which takes away the sticker shock of the per bag cost :lol-sign:

I feed my dog Benefull(sp?) and her coat is always shinny.
I would do some more reading on this site about what makes a good, healthy food and what makes a good, profitable marketing campaign.

Nutritionally speaking, Beneful is one of the worst foods out there.

Rosey gets Pedigree and home cooked in her Kong every day or two.
When we first got her, we had her on Evo. She wouldn't eat it, and when she finally would, it would make her sick and she'd puke it up. After that, we tried all the kibble that was stated here, plus many more, and she just kept puking it up. Only thing she could keep down was Pedigree, so that's what she gets. She's also thriving on it.

As long as your dog seems to do well on Pedigree, thats fine. I personaly wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Holly was on Canidae All Life Stages, because it was the only accessible food I could get in my town, other than the walmart foods.

I switched her onto the fish formula of canidae, and she is going to be switched onto the 6 Fish Orijen this weekend, and I am planning on keeping her on that for the rest of her life if she does well on it.

Home made diets inccreases the lifespan of your dog by 134%

Home made diets are important in the dog feeding. Many a times, the commercial diets consist of food items that have artificial coloring agents and flavoring agents that are harmful to the dog's body. Home made food items have the guarantee of freshness in the preparation unlike the ready-made commercial items.

The preservatives added in the commercial food items may not be the suitable ones to the dogs from the health point of view. Even in case of renal diseases in dogs, the home made diets may be made with ground beef, slices of bread, calcium carbonate, boiled eggs etc.

I finally got Aussie Chicken Soup for puppies last week, and he really seems to like it. I am going to keep him on that through his puppy months, then put him on the Diamond Naturals with the others.

I just started using Orijen, I was using costco's brand for a longgg time, no problems with it, but I figured, why not get somthing a bit better. its expensive (since a 40lbs bag is 30 bucks for costcos brand and a 15lbs of orijen is 38 bucks. Oh well the 15lbs lasts us about a month, so its not TO bad) Blaze does very well on it, and he has been on ALOT of brands of food.

he also gets a few raq bones, chicken backs and veggies a few times a week.

I just discovered Taste of the Wild. It looks like super food. Lots and lots of meat and no grain. Tapioca instead. My dogs like it too. Yeah!

I changed what I'm feeding, so I'll update! :p

The boys are now getting mostly Primal and Grandad's pre-made, with Acana just as back-up. I love feeding raw... even if pre-made is freakin expensive. I'm considering switching to half Sojo's w/meat and half pre-made as it would be much cheaper.
