We just got Molley a few days ago.

She is showing some serious nervous/anxious behavior, and she is laying on her back about half the time. According to her last owners because she wanted 'belly rubs', but I doubt it:D
I was thinking she would be a Aussie Heeler cross, but any help would be appreciated.
Not that it matters, but it would help us find a way to approach and handle her better.

She is about knee height, and I think she is 20-25 lbs.

That pics made me think ACD/Min Pin... just due to the ears/face LOL.

Sounds like she is being submissive

Thanks for your reply.

And yes she is. Didn't know the right word (not a native speaker), sorry for that.

Yea, she has her ears flat almost the whole time (only exception is when you have some sort of food:D). Tail between her legs when you want to put her on the leash i.e.
Just need to figure out a way to deal with her so she will be a happier dog.

Things we're doing now, is not leaning over her, no more belly rubs (just ignoring her), praising her all day when she does something right. Watch tone of our voices so she doesn't get the idea she did something wrong.

We have a quiet and calm household so she should be alright in a few weeks.

It will be like watching a flower bloom as that peels away and a confident dog that you have helped create takes the place. Don't know what the mix is but that's a dandy looking dog.

Pretty looking girl. Just go slow and gentle with her and I bet you have a fine, fine dog there shortly.

I had a dog once that wasn't exactly submissive, but whenever you called her, she'd come running towards you at full speed and then flip over in midair and slide into your feet on her back with her belly up. No idea why she did that, but it was funny as all get out to watch.

She's a pretty girl! My first though was that might have some ACD in there?

Thanks all :) That's also what we were thinking.

Her coat also has 2 colors. The half close to her skin is light brown, and the top half is black.
