All I've got is my antiquated Nikon 5005 35mm. I've got quite a few good lenses for it though, and it's basically idiot-proof. I did use it to get some killer wrestling action shots - then I found out that everyone else's wrestling "action" shots were posed  Good thing the camera is idiot-proof 'cause I sure was the idiot . . .

I have never heard someone say anything bad about Nikons. Did you have customer service issues?
we have a nikon point and shoot film camera. we were not happy with it. it was ok, but just ok.

we have a kodak easyshare (not sure of the model number). it is pretty good for a point and shoot. it is heavy and has a tiny screen. it eats batteries like crazy. the macro is crap. for just general pic taking it is ok.

i have an old minolta slr that i love. i dont use it much anymore. getting film developed is such a pain now!

Digital:
Canon 5D with Canon 28-75mm & Sigma 70-300mm lenses

Film:
Hasselblad 500CM with 80mm & 150mm Zeiss chrome lenses
Cambo 45SX 4x5 camera with a 210mm Rodenstock lens

I used Canon Rebel bodies (2000 and K2) back in my 35mm days. But I sold them off when I got the 5D. :D

I've used Canon for as long as I can remember and their camera quality cannot be beat. I tried a Nikon a few times for the sake of comparison, but it didn't quite do it for me. For those who don't want to shell out an arm and a leg, the Digital Rebel line is pretty good value for money.

Nikon Coolpix L6 - not bad for a point & shoot, but frustrating - pics aren't as sharp as I'd like, macro setting invariably focuses on the background and not what I'm aiming at, ie, blurry bug on flower, really sharp leaves on ground.

I finally got a Pentax K100 dslr, been having lots of fun with it but still learning what I can do. Also got a telescopic lens for it. Whoohoo! No more sneaking up on birds! I can sneak from a distance now. Lol!

Nikon Coolpix.

But it really doesn't matter what camera I have. I am a bust at photography and can screw up any shot without even trying.

Nikon D40 digital one. It's good! I love it! :p It's great.

The one I had before that (digital) was a Kodak Easyshare some version. I don't remember, but it was ok. Nothing special though and the date stamp really got on my nerves. I couldn't turn it off and it ruined pics!
