What breed(s) do you see?

this guy showed up at the pound last week...a stray that the owner hasn't claimed. What breeds do you see? I see pit and something else... though no one else here agrees. So what breeds do you see?

I do see pit, maybe she's just overweight, but there could be something else in there.

When pits get overweight sometimes they do look funny...

OK, just a stab in the dark, but how about Pit x German Shorthair Pointer? (If you look close in the face pic, there is some roan marking, so the dog isn't just brindle).

I guess that is a bad pic of him b/c is is not fat at all...A little ribby. I think he looks over weight b/c of how he is turned. I will get another pic of him sometime this week and post it.

colliewog: Yep thats what I thought. Even looked up some pics of pointer mixes. Also thought some kind of coon hound as they are brindle also. If you could hear this guy talk, you might think hound too, although he doesn't have the typical "bay". His ears are also long they meet even with the curve of his mouth when he doesn't have them pricked up.

I see pit but theres something else...just can't put a finger on it.

He is such a well mannered easy going fellow. I have someone interested in him. Hopefully we get a phone call from this guy. It sounded like a good home, I talked to him for awhile at Petsmart yesterday.

He looks a little long in the face and light/tall in the body for a purebred AmStaff/pit/etc. The overall look is all pit bull, but I think there might be something else there too giving him more height and less bone.
