What breed of dog is this?

A friend is giving her away, and I wanted to do some research on the dog before considering.

Possibly, but it's hard to tell from that picture. if you can find or take one of her standing up, it'll be easier.

I believe its a Ridgeback/ridgeback mix. The girl on the left is a ridgeback mix, center a chow mix, right a toller mix pup.

Depending on the area where you live, a blackmouth cur mix? The breed is considered rare, but it's actually fairly common in some areas of the South (like where I live!). Here's my Zeus, a blackmouth cur:

How old is the dog, and how large? Are the feet webbed and more round, or are the toes tighter and the foot more of an oval shape.

Is this dog's back end higher than the shoulders? Loose skin under the neck? Do the jowls hang much below the lower jaw?

And, what part of the country are you in? What types of dogs are fairly prevalent?
