this is him at about 9 weeks - little max :)

I was told mother is american pitbull and father a malamute/dane
just want to get some other opinions at his looks - they are not too fond of pitbulls here in Australia - banned breed even!
I would believe they are accurate. Looks like a dane/ pitbull mix. Even though father was part malamute offspring doesnt' have to look like one.

If anyone asks, just tell them Dane mix. :D

Until I saw the tail ... but in the first pic, the first thing I thought of was pit/shar pai. I may be way off though by the way he was standing showing the wrinkles.

I don't think your pup is going to end up looking much like the one in that photo . . .

Those are Mastiff feet! Probably Bull Mastiff. There could be some Shepherd in there, maybe a bit of Staffie somewhere . . . It will be interesting to see as he grows up. It's difficult to tell when they're still pups. That head is going to change. It will likely get broader and you may see some jowls develop. Keep posting photos of him as he gets older and we'll get a better idea. Also note if he has any particular behaviours, like herding or guarding. That helps to identify some breeds.

Something to remember, too, is that it would be a bit hard on a female Pit to have pups sired by something as big as a Dane/Malamute mix!

Since Pits are banned in Australia, it might be wise to just forget that anyone ever said anything about Pits . . .
