I have always stoped when a puppy gets the 1 year stage

From 8 weeks onwards 3 or 4 times a day, 5 months 3 times a day but a very light meal in the middle. around 9 months a day 2 times a day, again 1 light meal and from 1 onwards 1 meal a day with healthy treats in the day.

From 8 weeks to 6 months very light walks
6-1 year light to medium walk with some exercise at home, ball etc
1-18 months medium walk with exercise at home
18 months, as much as the dog can take, then I hit them as hard as I can with hard exercise, because they need it!

If I bred a bitch, for sure 3 years at the very least, never before and I would stop around when she was 6 and a very maxium of 2 litters per bitch

Again 3 years and if I was studing my dog I would be so slective of who he is studied too

That would depend on the breed, but probably when the puppy is full grown - about a year, plus or minus a few months.

I'd probably feed 4-5 times a day when the puppy is very young (again, depending on the breed), then down to three meals around 6 months and down to two meals around the time I switch to adult food.

Again, not until he's full grown. With giant breeds maybe even longer.

Probably at least 2 1/2 or so, and again probably older for large breeds.

I liked to to send pups home the closest Friday to their 8th-9th week . Fed 3 meals a day until seem to cut back . Mine always seemed to drop their noon meal first . Adult food about 8 months . Normal exercise on the ground until a year old .( no major jumping until then! ) No breeding male or female until after 2 yr old COMPLETE testing . If wanting to buy a pup , I'd ask breeder when they let their pups go home . If before 8 weeks ( give or take a few days ) , I'm out of there !

I am a long time raw feeder, so I never use puppy food. I also recommend my puppy buyers not use puppy good, but use a good quality adult food if they choose to feed commercial food to their dog.

I feed 4 to 5X per day until 12 weeks. About 12 weeks I cut to 3X per day. at 6 mos, twice a day, at 10 to 12 months, once a day.

I always allow my puppies to play together and as hard as they wish if they are not displaying any problems. I do not restrict exercise on puppies, NATURAL exercise, in any way.

I do not do road work or enforced exercise until 18 months.

Never before age 2, as there are certain health tests (hips and elbows) that cannot be done before that age in the US. Most of the time I like girls closer to 3 before the first breeding.

24 months, and after all health testing is on record.

I don't feed puppy food at all. All Life Stages, raw, or certain adult foods only here.

From 4mths on my dogs get fed twice a day. Most of my pups have refused a third meal by that age.

No forced exercise (jogging, etc.) until the dog is 18mths, but I allow them to run and play on their own as much as they want as puppies.

I don't breed, but probably will someday. 2yrs would be minimum, since health testing can't be done before then.

I just wanted to say that I think it depends on breed for the last questions about taking a puppy away from its mother. In toy breeds I wouldn't take a puppy until he/she is 10 weeks. Reggin was only 5 weeks, but he was in a rescue situation.

I will never feed "puppy food". Rottweilers are prone to pano, so I would NEVER recommend feeding a large breed dog any form of "puppy food". From their first experience with kibble to their last, it is an adult formula.
