I have added wet food to my cats' diet since the male had crystals. The only reason that I thought wet food made a difference is that he gets some moisture whether he's drinking enough water or not.

We had a hard time finding a food he would eat, although now I think it was because he was feeling so bad that he didn't want to eat anything. I could probably try it again and find that he likes ALL of them. We were trying to keep him from starving at one time, too!!

We ended up with Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul because that's the one he would eat and started putting his weight back on. Of course, that was probably about the time the antibiotics kicked in and he felt well enough to eat again, but we were so excited that he was eating that we left well enough alone.

I don't know if that's a good food or not.

Chicken Soup has a good ingredient list. I just stopped buying it when Diamond had that recall, even though it wasn't on the list, I don't think. I just got angry. The truth is, when cats feel badly they don't eat and when they don't eat they go downhill VERY fast, it affects their other organs, kidneys, liver.....and it's REALLy hard to get them to eat after so much as ONE day of not eating. So any food you can get the cat attracted to is good food at that point. I say stick with the food he likes if it keeps him stable.
