Weird fleas??

Anyone ever hear of "Sticktight fleas"? My neighbor lady's Chihuahua came down with a case of them. Her vet said they are mostly found on poultry! We live in an over 55 mobile home park.... no chickens around that I know of... she had a terrible time getting them off her dog, her house, her yard... We can't figure out where in the world her dog got them, as it is mostly an inside dog. No one else seems to have them, thank goodness!
They look really nasty. Mostly hang around the edge of the dogs ears and eyes.

Wow, maybe THAT'S what kind of fleas my friend's cat had! They tried everything to get rid of them but nothing worked. Ended up rehoming the cat because they couldn't afford a vet and the fleas were doing a number on the three year old child (seriously, it looked like chicken pox). The cat was an indoor only cat, so I wouldn't know how he got those fleas either!

Thats pretty wild. I have never heard of those kind of fleas before. And I hope my animals never have a run in with them.
