So this weekend I had some incidents with the dogs. One day I was walking the dogs with my mom and I knew my neighbor was walking her 2 dogs up ahead of us so I left Preston and Boomer onleash. Duke behaves fine offleash even if another dog is aggressive toward him he just runs away lol. Her dogs are both giant labs and they are extremely DA especially towards small dogs. I've seen them both jump dogs before and its scary. One time they ripped the ear off a westie and another time the black lab ripped the throat of a cocker. So anyway we meet up with them and she stopped to talk to us. I was just working on keeping Boomer under control because he will bite other dogs if they get in his space. My mom had Preston and he started barking at her two labs (who are never on a leash). well the yellow lab turned around and jumped on him, growling and snapping. Preston was yelping and we couldnt even see him underneath this huge (well over 100 lb) lab. His owner did nothing, just said "he's never done anything like this before".. Her 9 year old son grabbed the dog and my mom yanked Preston out from under him. Preston was fine just really slobbery. And of course what does tuff little Preston do after this? He turns around and gives a last good growl/bark lol. Preston weighs about 12 lbs by the way.

And then on the second scare of the weekend.. Boomer absolutely LOVES chasing bees/horseflies/anything that buzzes really and catching them then slowly pulling off their wings and torturing them lol. But Boomer is allergic to bees. So every summer he eats a bee and gets stung in the mouth. A little while later we find him drooling buckets with swollen eyes and laying down panting. So we always call the vet because of course it never fails to happen on a sunday. Vet says give him a benedryl. So we give him that, he sleeps it off and is fine an hour or two later. But it scares me everytime.

...so you deliberately approached two dogs you KNEW to be aggressive towards others, especially small dogs, and STOPPED to chat? :(

Glad everyone survived the weekend.
