I'm sure that it will fade into a bad memory for Ruckus and he'll learn to relax again with you and not flinch. Someone made a good point about watching him for reactivity to other people though. He may need some work on that later on after the trauma has faded some.
Now . . . if dude who stole him sold him at the flea market, he is probably a regular there . . . and he's probably making a habit of fencing stolen goods - possibly even other dogs - there on a regular basis.
