At around 1 o'clock today, after a long frantic search for my mom's liver-spotted dalmation puppy Dottie, my neighbour called. I answered the phone. Here's how the conversation went.
Neighbour: Look out the window.
Me: What? *looks out window* WTF?! (I had this look on my face: :yikes: )
Anyway, there's a guy walking a liver-spotted puppy down the street, and it has the same brown brown patch around her eye and the same brown paw and leg on her front left leg.
Anyway, I walked outside and started yelling to him since he was nearly past my neighbour's house. I said 'Hey! Hey mister! That's my dog!'. He took one look at me and picked Dottie up and started to run down the street.
I told him to freeze or I'd call the police right then on the spot (though I was still on the phone with my neighbour and I told her to call the police anyway. I mean, it's my mom's dog and the guy is trying to make off with her. Theft much?) So he looks at me, and started to cross the street to make a fast get away.
I pulled out Dawson, my mom's rottweiler. He isn't PA or DA, but he still is a good on-command attack dog, or so says my dad. Anyway, I yell 'hey, buddy, wanna meet the rottie?' The guy took one look at Dawson, and froze. A few minutes later the police cruiser shows up, and the police officer got mad at me for using Dawson as an empty threat (he's a big dog lover, we went to highschool together).
The police officers took Dottie to the shelter to check her chip to confirm it was my mom's, (even though I got mad and told them Dottie had had enough stress) then we picked her up.
Why an idiot would walk a stolen puppy in broad daylight is beyond my reasoning.
Arson has been ever so protective of his sister now. It's so cute to see how much they missed eachother. >.<
