    You have been warned.

Ok so over 2 years ago I got this pimple under my butt and on my left shin. It was swollen, hard and had a white head on it, like a pimple. Then it turned REALLY dark, like purple/black. I got checked for STDs and everything came back clean.

2 days ago, they popped up again. One under my right butt cheek about an inch under it, and the 2nd one is under my left butt cheek but about 3 inches under it. They were swollen, hard, red with a white head in it (I didn't pop them), then today I noticed they were that purple/black color.
I have been trying to look up what it might be but I cannot for the life of me figure it out.

Someone I know has herpes so I asked them if that is what it looks like, they said no. I haven't had sex since TJ and I broke up over 2 months ago. I know for fact he was clean. I got checked for everything after we broke up and I moved up here to daddy's, and again everything came back clean.

When these bumps first showed up 2 years ago, as I said, I got checked and this is the first time they have showed up since then.

I don't know what they are, but its freaking me out cause of how dark they are.

Can anybody tell me what they are or anything?
I have a doctor's appointment at my mom's (I am going their tomorrow and will bet here for a week, so I decided to make an appt with her doctor), the appt is Wednesday though. I am driving myself crazy over here.
The bumps don't itch or burn or anything like that. They are just THERE.

Anyways, TIA. I know this was a bit TMI, but I know we have a lot of ladies here that might be able to help me out a bit until my appt. :) (Not saying yall have anything, so don't think that lol)

    Sounds like a staph infection.

    Well that's lovely.

I went outside and sat in the truck of my grandma's car and sat on one of those balls with the spike things that fall out of trees (not pine cones) and the spikey thing went through my pants and stabbed into one of the bumps and it was bleeding then it stopped. Now that bump is just red and flat. So maybe its some kind of blood built up and popping it released the pressure & blood? Idk.

    Staph infection is my guess.

I used to get them in my groin area/inner thigh area, arm pits and occasionally on my shins - only after shaving. They would start like yours, I was convinced ingrown hair or pimple and then they'd get big and red and hard and then sometimes burst the skin. Then they'd disappear. Very randomly appearing etc etc. I also got checked for STDs and came back clean. I also experimented to see if it was my laundry detergent, deodorant, razor etc etc etc. Now I just shower with antibacterial body wash and that completely deleted the problem. I have tried going to "normal" body wash and it comes back.

Ingrown hair. Infected hair follicle. Possible staph infection.

Could be cysts too, although they generally don't randomly go away. Brian has one that was dark purple almost black for years. Doc says it's just a cyst and nothing to worry about. So maybe it is just that?

Well if it is staph, will it just go away? The one that got popped is just a red color, but kinda blends into my skin, if that makes sense.
The other one is now more purple/red and not as dark.

I have to wash with sensitive skin body wash, I either use dial soap (which is antibacterial) or dove soap. I haven't changed soaps/deodorant/etc etc in years. Dove (deodorant, shampoo, conditioner) works best on me cause of my dry, sensitive skin. And I use Jergens Shea Butter for sensitive skin lotion.

I just want it to go away.

Do you wear tight pants? Does it seem to happen after you shave? Have you changed your razor or your shaving cream?

I used to get them when I was younger and wore tighter pants and such(and used pads instead of tampons). It was a combination of ingrown hair/cyst/I guess staph infection? Maybe mine would have eventually went away on their own, but I'm NOT that kind of person! I have to pick/pop things, and they did go away right after that with some antibacterial soap and care. Lots of blood, though, and not so much icky stuff unless they were really bad. After I quit public school and went homeschool, they seemed to go away. I wasn't in public, so I was in baggy sweatpants.

These days, I *can* still get them, but I know I have to avoid xxx brand of pads, xxx brand of razors, avoid shaving cream completely, don't wear tight pants after I shave....don't apply deodorant right after I shave....so on so forth.

And FWIW, I also have dry, sensitive skin.

I wear tight pants but rarely. I'm a sweat pants kinda person lol
I haven't changed anything in years, as far as deodorant/shampoo/etc etc.
And it never happens after I shaved, I don't shave my butt cause there is no hair there, and I VERY rarely shave above the knee cause my hair is so thin and light up there, no one can tell unless they look through a mircoscope.

But these kind of bumps JUST appeared out of no where for the FIRST time a little over 2 years ago, and this is only the second time I have got them. So idk where they came from.

And dry, sensitive skin is a BITCH!

I had a clogged pore or ingrown hair that got big like that ON my buttcheek.

I went to urgent care bc i couldnt sit down, they lanced and drained it, then it turned into MRSA.

I PROMISE YOU. You do not want mrsa. If there is a lot of drainage and pain, go get it checked asap.

Ok I just looked up MRSA and even saw pictures... I am so so so sorry you had to go through that 4dogs3cats.
My bumps do not look ANYTHING like the pictures I saw, and I looked at 9 pages of what MRSA looks like.

I think we may have a winner here! lol

The bump that got popped by the spikey ball thingy had a BLACK hair sticking out of it, I pulled said hair, got the root out as well, and this clear liquid pus stuff start oozing out (ew I know) and now the bump is flat, still a bit red, its not swollen anymore either. Hopefully that's what the other one is as well.
So I'm going to leave them alone and see what happens.

I read online they can clear up within a week if cleaned so I put washed them with my dial antibacterial soap and I'm wearing really baggy pants so they can air out a bit.

    Please help

I don't know this forum. I register because you have the same thing I do. White heads that pop, either by me or themselves then turn purple. And it seems when they pop unless
I clean the spot really good after, it spreads and another comes. They are in two places. 1 my pantie liner and 2 my belly botten? I don't know what to do. If you find out what this is please email me at ganrielamarie91@yahoo.com I'm not sure if I'll be able to get on this site or find it again, but I'll check back. Also my fiancé has the same exact thing. If its not an std how can we both have it?

    Also

Also there's not a lot just a few. But I've had in grown hairs. A white head isn't part of an ingrown hair. Ahhh

Actually minor staph infection seems to fit. That has to be it. Spreading when the pus comes and not showing up on std checks! Thanks! Gotta get that fixed now!
