Walking the dog

My puppy Yostin (half black lab, half husky) just had his first round of shots and I was wondering if it is now okay to start walking him or if I should wait until he has had his booster jabs. There are a lot of stray, and therefore potentially diseased dogs where I live and I don't want to take any risks. I tried phoning the vet to ask, but her English is not very good and neither is my French!

He will need atleast 2 more vaccinations before its a good idea to start taking him to places diseases could be.

I agree to hold off for more shots. I did start socializing by bringing my pup to Petsmart, etc. but held the pup in my arms. I would not let the pup walk on the floor in case another dog that was walking around was ill. I also did the same at the vet.

I think it would also be a good idea to find a vet that you can communicate with....
