I know you don't mean it that way, but I have to wonder if Google picks up thread titles like this, and/or how many people browse the forum and don't look at the thread to know that you are just showing cute photos.

Maybe its just me, but this is not the first time I have been disturbed by your thread titles. Just sends the wrong image to me, with a breed that has more than enough without any more help.

Cute photos, BTW.

Yeah or it will come up and someone will click on it and see it for what it is...a good sweet dog. And lord knows more and more people need to see pitbulls in this kind of light....happy and humerous....because they are happy dogs full of love

I thought it was clever

Well, the rep is already there. If people open this thread thinking that they'll really hear about a vicious pit bull, one look at the pics will indicate otherwise.

If they're browsing the forum and don't look at the thread and go off believing that " Vicious Pit Bull Attacks Are Getting Out Of Hand" simply based on the title, well, I feel bad for them. I feel bad because they are ill-informed and choosing to remain that way. I opened the thread thinking it was really going to be about a pit bull attack and wanting to learn what was going on. Those that don't want to read it - whether it really is about a pit bull attack or if it's sarcasm - are going to remain uneducated regarding the truth about this wonderful breed. Not just uneducated in this one thread, but uneducated in general and throughout their life and probably about other issues as well.

Fluff, would it be ok with you if I emailed this picture to my dachshund loving cousin? That is, if I can figure out how to do that.

Sure, go right ahead! To send them, you can save the pics to your hard drive, and then just attach them in the e-mail. Probably the easiest way to do it.

I agree. If people are still....after all the attention to all this, hopelessly uniformed and ignorant about the dogs, (and they are) nothing is likely to change that. Ignorant people with ignorant mentalities don't read and have a clamp closing off their brain. It doesn't matter what subject it is. If someone does stumble upon this and sees the pictures, that's a good thing IMO. If they just read the title, well...there are oodles of titles about real attacks...just look at the media generated stuff. This isn't likely to make a bit of difference.

The flip side is that someone might think these dogs are never DA and let their guard down. There is that.

I knew it was a joke and was expecting something cute. Probably other dog lovers would think the same. (JMO) They are adorable pictures to be sure. I did the same thing with my "vicious" Doberman and Chihuahuas....cute pictures with sarcastic titles. The one in my avatar, I think I labled those pictures, Doberman eats Chihuahua and Chihuahua eats Doberman. (they switch "roles")

Loved the pictures!!!

Thanks Dober, great post.

Yes, if googled, there are a million news articles and anti-pit bull, pro-bsl articles out there with titles that are very similar. My title is just a drop in the bucket. I can guarantee you that my title to this thread will not wipe pit bulls off the map. The very worst it'll do, is have some ignorant, pit bull hating person open it by accident hoping to get a gruesome story, and be forced to instead let out an 'awwwwww!' Kind of like the popular, and completely adorable, picture circulating of the kid drawing with a marker on the bull terrier. And the famous title is, "Why Kids Should NEVER Be Left Unsupervised With A Pit Bull!"

The world will not come to an end because of a thread on an online forum, that includes cute photo's. I promise. :)

And just for a future note, if my thread titles offend, or 'disturb' anyone, you can always PM a mod for assistance in finding the "Ignore" button. Then my posts, and threads, will not show up to you. And you can avoid the disturbing words and images all together. :D

Blue says to keep your distance... in some area's, his tongue has been classified as a lethal weapon.
