He is squatting and no pee is coming out. My vet is booked for the day, Doc is at lunch but when he gets back in about an hour they are going to talk to him and see what he wants to do.
I'm kind of completely freaking out right now. Vibes please. I have a feeling this is about to get expensive.

Vibes on their way. I'd get him into some doctor if this one can't see him. He could have some kind of blockage, like a kidney stone. (if dogs get kidney stones) I hope he'll be okay and that it won't be very expensive.

I know. I'm not sure who to take him to if my vet can't see him. There is one vet here that doesn't have appointments, it's just walk ins, but this is the same vet who sent Auggie away poisoned and who I feel completely botched the care of Happy and Kota both and likely led to Happy's death. The e-vet is always an option if I just wait until after 5 (I think they open at 5pm.) but that will be like $200 just to walk in the door, plus at least $200 more for x-rays which I'm expecting we will have to do.
I called Auggie's chiro too since she is also a DVM and left her a voicemail. Just waiting to hear back from somebody. =< He's at work with me now, I brought him with me so I can keep an eye on him and take him straight to the vet if I need to.

Well, for a minute there I seriously thought my dog was trolling me.
Doc couldn't feel anything so took him back to x-ray. Came back with the x-ray and saw nothing. Took him back again to run a cath, got the cath in fine and he peed around the cath even, and said "well, I don't see blood in the urine, so... I don't know. But we'll run the urinalysis and see."

So, happily I suppose, he DOES have a bladder infection. Not too bad yet so that's good. I have antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory too, because he must be pretty achy to have not wanted to pee. Of course I really hope we don't end up in the cycle of a million urine samples again. The timing of everything is about in line with when stuff started last year. I'm definitely confused as to what's going on here. His last urine sample a few months ago was actually great... really strange.

A few nights ago he was really restless in the middle of the night, like he couldn't get comfortable. I took him out to potty and then he still couldn't get comfortable. I turned the air up in my room because it was pretty warm and thought he was just hot, but now I'm wondering if he was already feeling achy then? Poor muffin.

Funny enough, I was planning on going to the vet after work today anyway, because I had to pick up more of Payton's herbal formulas for his belly. ;P So I got those while I was there anyway. Sigh. And Payton has been doing great since we started his Tylan powder. Get one thing sorted and the other dog starts! Of course.

Glad it's not as serious as it could have been! Still, vibes for quick improvement and no headaches this time around. And happy to hear Payton's doing well!
