Diesel attacked Scamp earlier and left him with a couple of decent puncture wounds.

I managed to patch him up mostly but after an hour I noticed that one wound was still bleeding. I was home alone and by the time help arrived it was 3 hours later and the bleeding still hadn't stopped. Rushed him to the vets and he needs to have an operation and be stitched up. He was very subdued at the vets and this is the first time he's ever been left at the vets and the only time since he got his puppy shots that he's even been at the vets! Vibes for him (and me)?

We're going go pick him up in an hour if it all goes right. I'm so worried about my little brat.

Postive Visualization

Positive Visualization for Scamp and you. Sounds rather serious and visualizing him back to normal in no time.

My Yorkie was attacked two years ago by a dog she walked with five times previous. Caused a puncture wound to her back.
She cried for almost ten minutes.
My Mom being a nurse told me that a puncture can not be sutured so I took my dog home and washed with saline. She bled for two hours.

Clean the wound with saline a few times per two days.

Didn't take to vet because I didn't want her to have antibiotics.

By the next day a scab was beginning to form. Within a couple weeks you would never know it happened. Thankfully she healed fine.

A year later a bump came up at the wound site. I took her to the vet who said it was a cyst. I explained the attack. Vet still insisted it was a cyst, bring her back in 3 months.

I have noticed the bump is gone now but about two weeks ago I felt something in my dogs (Yorkie) hair at the same site. It was like a small dark colored piece of something. (not a bug or grass seed) Naturally I removed it.

That's it. No more bump and nothing showing at that area.

I believe that Scamp is going to recover just fine. He has been hugely traumatized and having to go in to the vet just adds to it but he will be fine.
Think positive and try not to baby him too much once he starts coming out of recovery.

To this day my dog dislikes going into the area that the attack happened but I take her occasionally and with treats. I feel it is important to expose her to the location and make it fun.

Why did the other dog attack Scamp? Once you are settled down I would think about that.

In our thoughts. Always the Best.
