His doctor found some sort of mass in his bladder and he's having surgery today to have it removed and a biopsy done.

Thank you so much, guys. It is hard either way, but it is so difficult to be so far away. My grandma is pretty ill and it's just a lot to deal with. All I can do is flood my mom with calls and be there for her, but a hug would mean so much more (which I can't do because I am still waiting for my stupid passport).

Well, my dad will have surgery tomorrow morning, not today. He went to the hospital today and they are doing a bunch of tests.

And then my mom called me around 7... She just got back from the hospital and my grandma, my dear Omimi, passed away. Words cannot express how much she meant to me and how much I loved her. I used to see or talk to her almost every day. I just feel numb right now.

I will be keeping you and your family, especially your parents, in my thoughts. I have a close friend who just lost a mother and it's really affected me to realize that my parents are aging.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) I am pretty good at just locking away everything. If you'd see me at work, you'd never suspect anything. Actually, you wouldn't suspect anything most of the time, unless I have a moment I feel I can be vulnerable, and then I let it out a little bit. I'm still not over my Grandpa's death 2 years ago- I have never let myself grieve because I don't know how to.

I'm sorry for rambling... My mom will call me around noon.. I hope for no more bad news.
