Vetsulin (pet insulin)

Not sure if everyone has heard about this yet. Vetsulin is recalling some of their product because they were having issues with the consistency of it.

So if you use Vetsulin or know somebody that does let them know about the recall so they can talk to their vet. Not all vets have switched yet (I've asked around).

I only post this now because several of our friends are still using it in our area and when I explained the complications it was having they agreed it would be good to speak with their vet.

It's likely not a huge danger to most animals, my friends and father-and-law have had no issue with their dogs while on it. It was still a concern enough for them to ask for a different insulin for their pets.

Didn't this start to happen several months ago?

Course that other recall on anesthetics took several months to come out too. Anyhow there's other insulin options for animals, but you'll likely have to restart the calibration cycle.

Umm, i thought vetsulin was being taken off the market anyways? We were told they stopped making it, and we cant get it anymore from any of our suppliers. We have had to switch (again) all our diabetic clients to another insulin.
