i was tossing a ball out for my dog who was on a long line, it wrapped around my ankle. From her speed, it took, me off my feet about 3 feet in the air, she did a back flip and the clasp from the long line (yeah, the metal) broke in half. and took off a lot of skin from my leg.

**** happens, it can happen with anything. This same dog has never broken a flexi leash.

^^^^ I have seen more things like that with Flexi's . If i sat here and wrote each instance it would take me the rest of the day. Never seen that with a 3 or 6 ft lead.

What happened to Flufflyzoocrew who ended up running over hers repeatedly because of what happened to Annie would be the top of my list.

Beneath that would be the woman that had her flexi'ed dog on the dog beach at Shawnee. Mary was enjoying the water on her old arthritic legs when i saw that dog race around her. I ran as fast as I couuld and stepped on that line just in time before it finished mary off. If that line had hit those joints it would have made her fall and might have done perm damage.
In the right hands like Drlittle, I am sure they are helpful but the fact is she is a rare find in the sea of ignorant dog owners. I have read stories that made me weep of dogs that were hit by cars, or injured by them so many ways. I am not kidding, if giving permission I would start a crusade against them. I would take a basket and collect them all and dispose of them in a way they could never be used again. That and the fight against puppy mills would give me great satisfaction.
