Using a bell for housetraining

We have an Aussiedoodle puppy (Jax) that we are using a bell to housetrain. The bell is hanging on the door in our great room that leads to the outside. My wife is working from home mostly and has a home office in another part of the house. Jax is crated at times and also spends time in the office with my wife. He has way more accidents during the day with her because she can't watch his every move. She takes him out periodically and if she notices him sniffing. My question is this: Should we also hang a bell from the door in the office even though it doesn't lead directly outside or will this confuse him? Other suggestions for minimizing accidents during the day are also welcome. Thanks
