Can anyone tell me how you can tell if a pup has a UTI? We have two pups, four months old and they are pretty much housetrained. We have not had an accident in the house for over a month now and all of a sudden last night, both of them piddled on the living room carpet within an hour of each other and then today, when hubby came home at lunch, they met him outside and we are not sure which one, but one of them piddled quite a bit on the sidewalk which they have never done when they are excited. I am wondering if one of them or both have a UTI? I have called the vet but can't get them an appointment until tomorrow afternoon. It is the only vet within a 200 mile radius so the appointment tomorrow is going to have to suffice. Any suggestions? Are UTI's contagious between pups? Could it just be a phase? I am worried sick about them. Please help with any input..............
