Hi,

Im a little worried about my dog tonight..

Earlier today while on his walk he had a pretty bad #2 and then a second #2 that was diarrhea, he is still eating and playing with his ball but Im just not happy with him..

Just wondering if anyone has any issues with they're dog and sometimes has an upset tummy, the last time he did this he was sick, so Im a bit worried to sleep tonight incase I leave him unwell..

Maybe just something he ate?

Hopefully the upset tummy subsides and all goes back to normal soon.

These sorts of things happen, and if it persists longer than a few days it would be a good idea to visit the vet just incase.

The main killer in this situation if there is indeed a problem is dehydration.

Before you go to sleep, pull the scruff on the back of the neck up and then let go.

If it goes down fast and returns to normal easily within a second, then your puppy is well hydrated and should be ok for the night.

If it takes a little while and seems to go down slowly then your puppy may need more fluids.

If your pup is still drinking water and eating then he should be ok.

Sometimes you do need to go with your gut if you feel something might seriously be wrong and visit the vet.

I hope everything turns out ok, be sure to keep us updated.

It could be something he ate, it could just be a random upset stomach. The easiest thing to do for him would be to have him skip one meal and then for his next meal give him boiled chicken (or hamburger with the fat drained off) and cooked rice. This is a very bland diet that will help to settle his stomach.

If it hasn't cleared up in a day after you start that, give your vet a call.
