I thought I'd post an update as to how my sweet Zeusy boy is doing.
The doctors have removed the drain tube from the wound in his cheek, and it's doing well. I had to make him a very soft homemade food for him to eat, since he has damage and stitches along his gums. He's eating well.
The vet is optimistic about that serious elbow/artery wound. Zeus is walking around on all four legs---a bit gingerly at times, but still putting full weight on the leg. It's closing well, too. Overall, everything seems to be healing great.
He's still not at full strength: he lost a lot of blood in those fights, and will need some time to recover. But you can tell he's feeling much better.
But most impressive is his spirit. He has been in no way diminished by all this trauma. Zeus is still happy to see everyone and goes everywhere with a wagging tail. He even greets Voodoo happily, and you can tell he's a depressed to be seperated from him. You just can't bring my sweet boy down.
