Hello everyone!
It has been a while since I last visited. Quite a bit has changed with my four legged family since then, so I thought I would fill you all in.
The rottweiler that we had taken back in has been placed in another home. This one is a forever home! She went to my mom's friend, and is doing wonderfully! She is the only dog so she gets all the attention she needs! We still visit her and she came down not too long ago for a visit and play date with the others.
We have a newest addition to our Siberian family. His name is Ike, and is roughly around 2 1/2 years old. Ike used to belong to an old friend of mine. She got him not too long after I had gotten Denali. Her family was a rough one and she was back and forth visiting her mom and dad. She finally ended up moving in with her mom, and leaving Ike behind at her Dad's. Her dad had to end up caring for him, and he then had a gf move in with him. There then came a time where she asked me to babysit him for a week. They were going out of town. So, I agreed and he had a really great time here. He was not neutered and my girls had not yet been spayed, so that was a joy! Anyways, ever since I baby sat him 2 years ago, he constantly would escape and come to our house. This had gone on for two years. They tried neutering him, and tried getting him a cat as a playmate, but nothing worked. So one day he showed up at our house. No one called or came over for him. So my mom went to take him back over and there were 3 cars in the driveway. Nobody answered when she knocked several times. This was the last straw... my mom contacted my friend's dad and asked if they even wanted him. They (her dad and gf) discussed it and handed him over to us. He has been with us for a little over a month now and has only ran off one time, but the one time is nothing compared to how much he escaped from these people. I also think that since the little boy came over to see him and play with him for a bit, kind of confused him. He LOVED the little kids. I had also had MANY MANY hints that this dog was abused and once he got home from escaping he was "beat". The kids have said it and when the lady got into an argument with my mom, she even said to us "I'll go ahead and beat the dog right in front of you!" Some people!!!
These people were so uneducated it was sad. The dog was smarter than they were! But he's here with us now, and is very happy and content.

At first my dad was hesitant about keeping him. He was a little mad that my mom and I had taken him in, but he has now admitted to my mom that he wouldn't mind keeping him. We knew that he would want to because he has a HUGE soft spot for sibe's and he knows Ike and that he's a well behaved boy.
I also had to put down my cat of 19 years on New Years Eve. She was my special kitty and I loved her to pieces. Our neighbor ended up surprising us and brought home a kitten. The kitten is around 13-15 weeks old and her name is Tags. It has been a joy raising a kitten, as this is my first time doing so. My mom was always the one who raised the kittens... but I wouldn't give up a second of it! She's my baby girl! She'll never replace my "fat cat" but it sure did help to ease the pain in my heart.
Well that is about it. I wish i could find my camera charger so I could give you guys some updated pictures! The picture of Ike above was taken when I baby sat him. He really hasn't changed a whole lot. He's grown a little taller, but has definetly filled out. And of course he's neutered now.
But I thought I would let you all know what was going on! You guys better keep on me to coming back here! LOL
