Does everyone remember the 17 heartworm positive sled dogs that I posted about? The ones that got seized in Ohio?
Well, two of them will be here not this weekend, but the next! Cuddles is a male, ~7-8 years old, white in color, and one of the worst so far as physical condition goes. His ears have damage from nasty fly bites, and he's extremely thin. I can't wait to pamper him and fatten him up.
The other dog I'm taking is Katie, and she's a two year old, tan and gray in color. Not in as bad of shape as Cuddles, but still not in ideal shape. I wasn't really wanting to take a younger dog, but my friend that has them assures me that she's a very calm girl and should get along with my furry crew just fine. I might offer her for adoption, I might keep her. Time will tell. I'm definitely keeping old man Cuddles.
I also might be caring for a third dog from this group, Katie's sister Mary. Another Siberian enthusiast that I know in MA is interested in her and talking with the rescue that has them right now. So if she decides to take Mary, I will be doing the last leg of the trip to MA to drop her off.
I am so excited, I can't wait until they get here!! Just had to share!
