RIP Reggin. I only write this because I feel for what Reggin went through and better not say what I mean about the owner.

I'm at a loss for words. I hope it will teach people who take a dog in a place where dogs are not allowed to have a backup plan in case the owners find out... and that it doesn't involve a kill shelter for a dog who has no chance of being adopted out because of his breed... whether all the aggressions issues are true or not...

Good advice.

I also wanted to echo Paige's last post in that other thread. Even though we are disappointed or angry and see no logic in all that went on, myself very much included, I think (human) Reggin needs forgiveness and support. She's in a great deal of anxiety right now and has so much on her plate, so much going on in her life, a history of abuse (I gathered) from her fiance jerk. That high level of stress (fight or flight) makes any animal, including humans not make the best choices because it's the limbic system in the brain working to prepare for survival. The thinking part of the brain takes a back seat sometimes during these times of high anxiety.

I just want her to know that although I'm frustrated, saddened and a little angry with how things were handled, I do understand a little bit and hope she will stay here for the support most of us can give, in spite of it all....when things cool down.
