I couldn't help it, I saw the chance to get a rare brindle Border Collie puppy and just had to go for it! I waited 5 weeks, wondering if I should get my new baby or not. My family and I just drove down to Snead, AL yesterday and got her. It was worth the drive. :]

Her name is "Zii" as in the letter Z.

Cute! i wonder if you traced back far enough in her pedigree (provided everything was true to the word and nothing ever falsified) if you wouldnt find an outcross to an English Shepherd givng her the brindle colouring??

He's definitely a cutie, and I've never heard of a brindle BC either. Jakob is still my favorite though.

I have only seen/heard of one brindle BC - and that one was from rescue, with unsure pureness. It's all very confusing, I don't know what to believe, sometimes.

30" looks so tall when your BC is jumping it, but my 95 lb dobe has to jump that as his standard height in obedience all the time and it never looks that big

Maybe if I did look back that far I could find something. xP I can't much until I get the papers from the ABCA though. I love researching pedigrees. Just gotta find the time to push agility out of the way for a few minutes! lol

I found her while looking and looking and looking and having some other breeders and friends help me find a breeder that had brindle Border Collie puppies. :] Very hard to do. Lucky for me they live 2 hours away in Alabama.

Zii and the other girls and Jakob get along just fine! I'm really glad they do. We've had only a bit of growling from Lyrik when trying to show her role as "alpha female." I reminded her I was "alpha." lol

Mike Easterwood. I don't have a pedigree for her but I did see the parents pedigrees while I was there if I recall right. The puppy is the 6th generation from their farm. :]
