I have the worst **** head ache right now. I've had one on and off for days now. The kind that nothing takes away the throbbing. Then to make matters worse I have heartburn really bad. It makes me cough when the acids are creeping up the back of my throat. And of course it hurts like hell when I cough because of my head ache.

I'm just miserable and wanna cry. I just took some tension head ache pills... I hope they work. TJ has gone to the store to get me some of those rolaids chews... the soft chew kind. That's about all I can handle for heartburn these days. The chalky tablets make me wanna vomit.

I need a good nights sleep..... a night where I don't have to get up every two dang hours around the clock to pee!

Okay, I think I've whined enough now. Thanks for listening.

You need stress relief! Go soak in a lavendar scented tub with a beverage of choice, pop in a good movie and invite TJ in for some "cuddle time". :)

(and then go see the doc about the heartburn and having to pee all the time)

The funny thing is that I haven't really felt stressed out lately. All the projects I've been working on for the past few months are winding down now. I only have a few more things to accomplish... one of them being a fancy prom dress...lol

I need to make an eye appointment so badly... I just keep procrastinating like I do everything else. I think that's where a lot of my head aches stem from. I do a lot of squinting without even realizing it.

And I've already been to the doctor for the heartburn. I got a prescription for prevacid. I ran out a while ago and never bothered to have it filled again because the heartburn subsided for quite a while. It's been in the last couple of months I've noticed it coming back more frequently. So, I guess I have to go and have my prevacid filled again.

I have nights or days where I pee every two hours... usually after I've worked a long stretch. I just recently worked Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night.. all 12 hour shifts. Having that one day off in the middle was like not having a day off at all....lol.

So, when I'm on my feet for that many hours that many days in a row I swell up like a balloon and carry a ton of fluid.... I've weighed myself before a long stretch and at the end of it and I've carried as much as 10 pounds of fluid! So, then I have to pee all that fluid out. So, I wind up peeing every 2 hours until I've peed it all out of me.

I still have my head ache... but now it only hurts when I cough, sneeze, bend over...etc. Maybe the next time I can take something for it.. it might get rid of it completely. The heartburn is still driving me crazy... I wish TJ would hurry and get home with the rolaid chews...lol.

Maybe he'll pamper me and rub my back and massage my neck for me. That always seems to help. We'll just lay like brocoli and spoon while we watch tv :D That is, as long as he gets no ideas of being frisky. I'm just not in the mood..lol.

Nancy, I had a very good friend who had excrutiating migraines. I would use her pressure points in her hands to relieve the pain for her.

Oh, and Nancy . . . sex is a good headache reliever too ;) Endorphins and relaxing ya know. I always did think that whole "not tonight I've got a headache" was kind of silly.
Endorphins or no endorphins.... I can't even imagine engaging in sex with this head ache. As much as I'd love to try and see if it would help... I think I'll stick with trying the pressure points...lol.

I wonder if the pressure points would still work if it's not a migraine. I have never had a migraine.... my head aches are always the lower back part of my head. Everyone I know has head aches in the front of their head.

I was hoping it would lift enough that I'd actually have some relief.. but it's a no go. It seems to be picking back up in intensity. I just may have to dig out my percocets and take one tonight or I'll be up all night being miserable.

Pam's went from the base of her neck and worked their way all across her head. That pain at the back is most often those muscles back there being way too tense. Put some heat back there while you're at it, Nancy. Get those muscles at the base of your skull and across the back of your head and neck loosened up some.

Yiippeeee..... no more head ache or heartburn. I went to bed early and spooned with TJ. He rubbed my back and I fell asleep. I actually slept for 6 whole hours without having to get up and pee!

The only sucky thing is that I only slept 6 hours.... and I've been wide awake since 6am. I have to work tonight, so I hope I can fall back asleep or I will surely be tired tonight. I'm just thrilled to death my head ache and heartburn are gone.

Huzzah! Go take some Tylenol PM or something. But hopefully you're already back asleep and don't need to read this until tonight after work.

Well, I managed to fall back asleep for a little over 2 hours... it's better than nothing. But I am up now until tomorrow morning.. there's no way I would be able to fall back asleep now. But I still have NO headache or heartburn... yippeee!!!

The hearburn situation may change after I eat this lovely piece of home made lasagna. But the lasagna is so good that it will be worth any heartburn I get from it. Besides.... I have a whole box of those rolaid chews now.

had this doc buddy that told me to take aspirin (or sinus pills) with hot coffee. the caffeine (sp?) helped. do you drink tea? I only ask cause for some reason even decaf tea is giving me heartburn. I've never had heartburn in my life before, and I sure love my hot tea. go figure. hope that headache stays away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't drink much soda. Maybe a can or two a day and it's usually diet sprite or diet coke. I drink milk and juice and water and club soda.

And I usually don't drink much before heading to bed or I'll be wizzing every hour or so.

I have had this head ache for several days now. It goes away for a little bit and then comes back. But it's a mild head ache right now... nothing like the other day when I wanted to cry.

A can or two a day is a significant amount of soda, Nancy . . . especially with the things we're learning about the new artificial sweeteners.

Instead of the diet soda, try mixing your favorite juice 1/2 and 1/2 with your club soda or sparkling water. Add a wedge of lime or lemon for a really fresh taste. :)
