I just found out my little sister, who I adore very much, is moving. Far away.

What beats it all, is they (her and her bf) have a place to stay, they just don't want to give my mom the whole 100 bucks she wants to charge them for rent. Her man has a great job, and he is quitting it to move.

His idea of a better job?

Working at a Tyson chicken plant. What a step-up that will be, eh?

:(

Well that sucks for you... but maybe she just doesn't want to live with her parents? I know for myself... after living away from my parents... it was torture when my dad rented one of the rooms in my apartment when I had to be back in London for a few months... I love him... but I just can't live under the same roof as my parents anymore lol.

I don't know what her b/f does for a living now but perhaps Tyson pays good money. Plants like that sometimes have unions and they make a ridiculous amount of money.

my experience with my parents was great, i only had to move back in 1 time with my mother, and we go along great.

as for the job he is leaving what kind of job was it? i heard Tyson is pretty good to work for, like Sparks said they have unions, so in case of no work they still get paid or something like that.

well of course that would have been one of my many things i could NOT DO LMAO, right behind that was drink out of the milk jug ( you know we are all guilty of that), then, of course the phone calls could not go past a certain time frame. which was hard because my hubby was living in Utah at the time and i was in Idaho care of her, so, sometimes it was really late, one time i got away with it and talked for 9 hours :yikes:, talk about having alot to say.

AC--sorry for you--but you never know how these things end up. It may be a real learning experience for them. She may be home sooner than you know!

I agree with Bax- it's hard, because you love her and want her close. We don't always know why our family members make the decisions they do, but they've got to have the room to grow and learn. :)

I know how you feel Angel :(

7 years ago my sister and BIL announced they were moving to Arkansas. That is where his family is from (he was born there but grew up here in IN) and his grammie had given him 8 acres w/house on it. They both were making good money here, and not much hope of getting the same $$ in that area, but they went.

I miss them everyday..........and phone calls and bi annual visits just don't cut it.

Hopefully your sis is making the right choice........I am still waiting for mine to come to her senses ;)
