*sigh* It used to be such a good food. But then they lied about their ingredients, then admitted to it - but still kept their lower-grade ingredients the same, now recalls...

... I wonder what happened? Where it went all wrong?

NOLU, READ THIS THREAD I POSTED
My initial complaint about Ella not eating her food.

Then read how I posted about the recall
Timberwolf's recall and their RIDICULOUS return policy!

For all who cannot read those links, basically on May 31st I posted on another board about Ella not eating her food. She wouldn't TOUCH IT.
I called the store I got it from and she said she would be happy to take it back, BUT due to Timberwolf's WONKY and RIDICULOUS return policy, both the owner and I would have to fill out a return/customer complaint form.
I said, "Forget that, that's BS, I'm not taking my time to fill out stupid paperwork for food my dog won't eat. I just won't ever buy their products again, and I'll have to start a stupid food trial for my dog."
So, I went in to get Ella some Core Ocean and the owner showed me the form and reassured me she'd be willing to fill out the paperwork, too, but I'm so done with Timberwolf. DONE.
So, I purchased a small bag of Core Ocean, and went on my way.
The next day, a member of this other board contacted me with a link to Timberwolf's own website with that recall info.
And I LOVE how Timberwolf words it, too. Bunch of jerks. They STILL make it seem like "oh, well we haven't found anything wrong with it, but due to some complaints made by some crazy customers of ours, we're going to pull it because we half-ass care."

The owner of the store that I get Ella's food from, said that if I would have been returning ANY OTHER FOOD in her store, made by ANY OTHER COMPANY, she would have just been able to give me my money back immediately.
But with Timberwolf, I would have had to bring in the bunk bag to her, she would have had to send it off to Timberwolf, they would have had to send it off to some lab to have it tested, ALL BEFORE THEY WOULD HAVE REIMBURSED HER for the returned food. But she was willing to do the paperwork. It was all on the return form paperwork. ALL FOUR PAGES OF THE RETURN FORM/CUSTOMER COMPLAINT PAPERWORK.
WTF.

When I first got my dog I put him on Timberwolf Organic because it had good ingredients and people raved about it. Later on, during the wheat gluten thing, they refused to give out any information other than saying that their food wasn't affected. They basically stonewalled any attempt to get information out of them, so I stopped feeding it. It's not like there aren't better brands of premium dog food out there. Evo, Orijen, Canidae.
