Two rather amusing breed 'identifications'

"They look just like chihuahuas only fatter!"

Er....here's my fat chihuahua.

I tried to kindly explain what a chinchilla and a chihuahua were and that these guys were actually neither! (But I did add that I DO have a chinchilla too- confusing!)

that, to me would be the best thing ever.

Iam thinking of telling people my dogs are mini labs or fenec foxes or som'thing just for shits and giggles.

To make it worse, the guy who asked about my chinchillas is the guy that owned the dog that ended up peeing on me!

We had a foster dog who a couple people thought was a cat! (To be fair, from behind he did look pretty feline!)

We fostered two Papillons. Got asked if they were long haired chis. Both of them had full coats, not really chihuahua looking. And people think you are crazy when you say they are spaniels. Adorable, though.

On one of my training lists, someone posted having seen an ad for "Datsun" puppies. :lol-sign:

And a few weeks ago, I was walking Sienna. She's a mix, so I always get a lot of "what kind of dog is that?" Well, this little girl saw her, grabbed her mom's arm and in this awed whisper says: "Mom, look! A FOX!" It was all I could do not to laugh. I do see the resemblance, but still...
