:yikes:I came home from my post op with good news that I did not screw it up. It will take some more time, but one problem has hopefully been fixed for good and I am excited. On the way to the doc appt I saw turtle after turtle dead on the road, it was just so tragic, one slider, and another box turtle I knew were alive, but no way I could get over to pick them up. This one however there was a place on the highway to the side, that looked safe enough so I went for it. The problem was how far back the turtle was and how fast I could walk..I didn't think it was a good idea until the doc said so to try to go any faster, but I was taking the biggest steps I could and thought I was going to be too late. Boy howdy was this turtle trucking in the wrong direction.:yikes: So I scooped her up, emptied out my purse, put turtle in there and went to the doctor appt. On the way back we stopped to visit my grandson, his Mama and my new grand daughter Baylee. Aiden was worried about that turtle getting so close to HIS baby, he went right to the rescue.
THe rest is best said in photos. It was very nice to be able to kiss my grandson on the cheek. I haven't ever given him a kiss because I didn't know what I had, and i wasn't going to take any chances. I promise Aiden I won't turn into Pepper. click for slide show

I noticed that both Aiden and Patrick went up to the dogs and to Sancho held open their mouths. I saw babies do this on the documentary BABIES on Netflix too. So I wondered if it is a human instinct that I just don't remember my own children doing. Today Aiden did this to his sister, then turned and did the same thing to me, and I must say, he does have sweet breath. He exhaled ever so softly near my face. So maybe it is an imprinting, bonding, thing for lack of better words. He is very good to his sister. He is very good to his doll. That baby was my son's when he was a toddler, and the jacket was one that my Mother, GG, made for it some 23 years ago. There are some things I am very glad I have hung on to over the years. Aiden will get a matching Jacket to his baby's that also belonged to his Daddy when he was about 3. He needs to grow just a little bit more.
The hardest part of the recoop from my surgery as not being able to see the children. I missed Jory so bad on Saturday, I thought...geeeez. it just isnt' any fun at all without him around. Hopefully things can get back to normal now. WE have loads of summer to enjoy.

my most favorite photo of all..
