Breeding dogs doesn't mean you know everything about dogs. There are nutsos out there that breed dogs. Anyone can breed a dog if they want to, they don't have to know about dogs.

Just because someone has bred dogs for a long time doesn't mean they know everything about them! They might not even be good breeders! It just means that they have put two dogs together and had puppies.

There are many, many people out there that have bred dogs for many, many years. Breeding dogs doesn't make you smart. It doesn't mean you've got a noodle.

BigDog, so what his breeder said? Does he do health tests (OFA and OFE)? Does he show? Do his dogs have titles from the show ring? Does he scan buyers? Are his dogs all trained?

My dad has the papers... he's at work now so...

I don't remember all the questions he asked... he asked a lot.

And the titles were all plastered on his wall which I don't remember.

I don't have a photographic memory.

A "breeder" is not a "trainer", either. And there are "trainers" out there that are totally white trash barbarians with their dogs. There was a "trainer" once I knew about that had dobes and would pick them up and smash them down on the ground when they weren't doing what she expected. And she'd "nip their ears" with her fingernails to make them yelp to "get their attention". She thought this was the best way to train. She was eventually banned, thank God.
