Go Limit! Also, when the heck did he get so big?!
Thanks! I know, I don't know how he keeps getting HUGE! The growth spurt has slowed down now so he will actually eat the amount he needs to not look like a scarecrow. I've been feeding him 2 cups 2x a day and then he gets food roll when we "work" for scent detection. That has really helped put the weight back on him.
I just signed up for Silvia Trkman's puppy/tricks class. I'm officially doing Finn but I'm starting Limit as well. I am going to sign up again in January to "officially" do Limit - so I can post vids and what-not. OR if he catches on quickly, maybe just pay the fee to sign up a second dog...we'll see. Anyway, I have never shaped before, only did luring really. How fun! Today was our first session and both Finn and Limit caught on really quickly. This type of training is ideal for Finny because his nerves are not fantastic so he can think things out and do them at his pace. He's brilliant though so we went forward very quickly. Limit is a frustration barker and a bit of a brat so we went a bit slower but it was so fun to see him thinking, working things out. I'm really excited!
Also, Limit's handstand is now totally vertical on a wall (previously we were still doing slanted surfaces), independent of hand-help from me - yay! There is video but Jason hasn't taken it off his phone yet.
In essence, I've really gotten back into training the last couple of weeks and can't wait to continue
