It's not much of a transition because he wasn't eating well before, but now that Buddy is eating and it's kibble, what can I do for him to ease his tummy? I tried adding pumpkin to his kibble and he ate some of it, but not all of it and I think it's because of the pumpkin. I want him to continue eating of course, but I also want him to not strain to poop and have diarrhea. I suggested Mit cook rice today to give him, any other suggestions for a dog that is being incredibly picky regarding eating?

How is he with yogurt right now? Maybe even buttermilk?

Making sure you add some fat to his diet will help with any constipation, and he might really go for some pork or beef fat, rendered out and put on his food.

He's not a fan of yogurt, it used to be a regular staple but he stopped eating it awhile back when he stopped eating most of his food. I've not tried buttermilk, though, and have some we can try. I wonder if he would eat kefir. Hmm.

I got some capsules of dried bifidobacterum (contains live beneficial microorganisms) to aid with Kassie digestion and it works well. It's called proviable-dc. I just sprinkle it over food, she actually likes the taste of it, she'll lick up the powder before eating her food. lol

I'm so glad to hear that Buddy got his appetite back!

Yeah, except he's not eating well today. I guess his eating will be a roller coaster as well. We'll just see how the next few days go, thanks for the suggestion. :)

When T-Bone has tummy issues I give her some cooked rice and chicken to her kibble.. I also add pumpkin, like you said. I hope Buddy will feel better soon!

Have you tried maybe using some canned dog food that is more like a stew to flavor the kibble.
