I tried reading up from past threads about this but I couldn't really find any other suggestions for crate toys than kongs and nylabones. My pup doesn't like any kongs I've tried so far no matter what I put in them, and nylabones don't even exist to buy in my country.

So his crate is awfully empty having nothing to keep him occupied in case he should wake up. He's only in the crate to sleep so far but eventually he will have to stay in it even while he's awake when I get a job, and I have no idea what I could put in that would be safe for him to play with/chew on unsupervised that he would actually enjoy. He likes the stuffed squeaky toys to play with and pig ears to chew on but I wouldn't trust him with either of those unsupervised. Any ideas for other things I can try?

At night I let my pup have a squeaky toy, but I take it out when I leave her for a bit during the day. She has an Orbee ball (like a kong, sort of, but she prefers the Orbee to her Kong) and a nylabone in her crate. Those are really the only things I feel comfortable leaving her unsupervised with. My adults only get a Kong. Too bad he doesn't like kongs and that you can't find nylabones though. I'm not sure what else you could put in with him safely. Hopefully someone else will have some ideas for you!

I put 2 kong toys (kong, kong ball), a squeeky large ball, and a rope toy. My dog is so picky about toys! I think anything they can't eat or swallow and choke on is fine. Rope toys work well unless your dog eats the stringy parts. I would never leave any bones or rawhide because they get chewed into small pieces and can potentially choke the dog if he tries swallowing it. A great way to get a dog interested in kong toys is to hide food inside of it. Good luck!
