Does anyone have a good recommendation for a good, strong tug toy? nothing hard or rubber because i want it to be very "tossable" and "shakeable" to Miss Lynn.
Lynn LOVE to tug, but when she wins she likes to run around and shake it to death. so maybe a tug toy on the floppy side!

those actually only last about one time with Lynn. I get those from the might dollar store here all the time. I wish I could find her that would last about 6 months!

I'm weird ..... leave pull toys to the dogs only .Goldens have soft mouths and I've never had tugs of war with them .

We've had too many incidents of the puppy throwing toys around if he wins a tug with us or the other dog. We've had those tennis ball tugs bang into the tv and other stuff, so they're now relegated to outdoor play, only! So, they have Fat Cat Toys...rings, tug-ables, and ones that look like different animals for tossing and other inside use. They're made out of something like a heavy canvas. We haven't had any more crashes, and they've held up better than most toys seem to with these guys. Several we've had for 3+ years. They sell them at Target, and I think Walmart. Hope that helps!

Ripley's favourite toy is his Wubba. I taught him to retrieve by playing tug as a reward with it (and letting him win) when he brought it back. It works well for tug and fetch for us. :)

Kong Wubba FTW.

Xena is on her 2nd one. She absolutely loves the thing. She'll play alone or play tug with you. You can then throw it like a football and she'll go screaming after it and bring it back for more tugging.

I gave one to my brother for his schnoodle and she loves it as well (of course, hers is smaller :) )

We have a toy here that's a fake fur tail, with a squeeker, an elasticy handle for good tugging, and a treat pouch in it - it's Psyche's second fav toy, ever, and her first fav tug toy. (It's second to anything that resembles a stick)

Only problem with people who want to try Psyche's fav toy out is that it's one my mom made for us... It's like crazy solid for hardcore tugging (LOL Lab/Border Collie crazy tested) - Psyche has ripped it once, while tugging, and she ripped the handle out. It's only a fetch toy for now - until mom fixes it for us.

They make Wubba's in various sizes :)

How about a good old fashioned rope bone?
