Tooth Issue

So we just noticed this a week or two ago - I always knew Aura had some gaps in her teeth but after our trainer examined them, he showed us where her teeth were coming in on the top side of the gum line instead of where they should be... I do plan on having this checked out by the vet soon, but I was just curious if anyone else has had this happen, and what I should expect? Can they be left alone or will surgery be needed? She is a year old so she definitely should be done teething...

The pics are kind of blurry but this is the best I could do. I circled the part where the tooth is showing. It's on both sides of her mouth.

hmmm... never seen that. Jackson had a few teeth problems due to his baby teeth not falling out properly on time. So one of his retained baby teeth kind of made his bottom canine tooth shift (plus he has a slight over-bite) and then he had an issue of that canine tooth poking into upper gum and making an indent. We dealt with it for 3 years and then I had to get surgery for him, as I could tell he was in pain... that was a nice $1200 surgery (dental was also done).

But sorry no real advice, just wanted to say mouth problems suck! I hope you get it resolved.

Thanks! It doesn't seem painful for her during every day life, but when she does bite work, her gums/mouth gets sore faster and she can't seem to go for as long as most other dogs. So that kind of sucks.
