My knees are going to be bruised for a few days, but otherwise I'm feeling pretty good. I heal pretty fast anyway and Neosporin is just miracle stuff. I groomed Buddy as best I could for the shape he was in and being a cranky puppy and then he slept all night by my head.

English actually came over (he doesn't like coming to my house what with the inconstant heat and slobby roommate) after I didn't come into the bar to work and he ended up staying the night--on the couch. Virgo wasn't too happy to lose her spot. ;)

I already had one person call me today to make sure I was still doing ok. She's a friend that I met at the dog park a handful of years ago and haven't seen her out there in awhile, so that was a nice coincidence. And nice to hear from them today--just nice to hear that someone cares.

I was going to put her in a hot soakie last night but she couldn't get up and i couldn't lift her. SO i gave her a pain pill and she slept til morning. SHe was amazing. Was very proud of peppertini too. DId you see the other staffie there? Could have been her mother. WHile i was looking for buddy i saw mastiff lab mix meet mastiff blood hound mix. That was interesting!

SHe's deaf as a stump now which is why i couldn't call her back from following that stupid stupid man. FIrst she was beside him when he headed out in the water, it was only natural for her to follow. THen when he fell into his knees she went all the way in.:mad::mad: WHen he picked her up by the hips like that i about had a cow on the spot i was so angry.

Mary blows my mind. SHe walked all of that way better then i did and was only minutely worse off then me when we got home. Not saying much for me is it when the 16 and a half year old dog faired better. But i am glad she did. IT is the big happy expression on her face, the ever wagging tail, the ohs and ahs of people as she trots on her way, just about everyone asking me how old she is...then WOW. SHe gets attention from people like she never did before and she adores it. FAct is if her legs didn't work at all i think she would drag herself with the same big grin and wagging tail. SHe is not about to be left out of anything. i made her lay down and rest twice, til her breathing was slowed down. BUt it wasn't easy, she is a go go girl.

SHe is still sleek and glossy, has firm muscles and all her teeth even tho alot of them are nubs. SHe is not a creepy old dog but vibrant. I tell her she is the only woman i know that gets a prettier face every morning she wakes up.

Okay, how come I have to hear about my daughter playing Hancock via ChazHound and not when we talk on the telephone. Both dogs are smart enough to get out of that situation without some dumb behemouth trying to drown my little girl. Perhaps instead of tyring to play the hero he should have first assessed the real situation and then act if necessary. Smkie, don't let her do anything like that again!

I assume your DAd;). I had to read this twice before i figured it out but i am a little slow on the uptake today. You should know no one is going to stop Zoomer from doing what she is going to do. All i could do was stick around to help afterwards.
