Dallas has to go to the vet tomorrow or Sunday b/c of his skin. I thought it was shampoo b/c I wasn't getting it all out but its not. The skin on his stomach looks scaley and I'm really worried. yesterday I filled the tub up w/ water so Dallas could play in it, and I told my dad thats all I did and he said his stomach shouldn't be like that if you haven't watched him in awhile. So yea Dallas is off to the vet for a checkup anyways. he also has to get his 9 week shots so we might do that to I don't know. Gosh I hope my baby is ok....

It's not unusual for a pup to have flaking , but it's good to check.

Well Charlie had a scab or something on his head, and I think he scratched it and it started bleeding...

he might just have a slight skin irritation to something. Hannah's tummy used to turn red and itchy when she played in the plants on the side of the garage. Maybe he is allergic to something.

How often do you bathe him and with what kind of shampoo? Puppies have tender skin and you should use a gentle "puppy" shampoo if he has to have a bath. Their skin drys out very easy when they are so young. He should not be getting a bath every week.

It really does sound like just puppy skin. I know human infants sometimes get dry scalp and Vaseline helps a little. Maybe that would work on Dallas. But, it doesn't sound all that serious whatever it is. But, don't feel bad for worrying, I would too.

It could be his bedding. We often had dog owners come in stumped as to why their pet had a rash but only on their lower half of their body. Turned out they owned ceder filled pet beds. A lot of animals are allergic to ceder hence the reaction.

I use Miracle Coat Skin Soothing Shampoo. I have bathed Dallas 2 times since I've had him, which was 3 weeks yesterday. But I have put him in the tub half or less filled w/ just water for him to get use to the water.

Dallas sleeps in a big enough sized crate w/ a doggy bed in it and a couple of his bedtime toys. Dallas doesn't have newspaper, or cedar, or anything like that in his crate at night b/c he is crate trained !!!! YES!! LOL
