Timberwolf Organics is a very good food. A lot of people have had a lot of sucess with it. There is no way to know how it will work with your dog until you try it, but I can tell you when I fed it, my dogs never had any digestive upset.

I wouldn't use a fish-based food on a dog that has no allergies. I would go for something like the Timberwolf Lamb and Apples, Wild and Natural or Southwest Chicken....or a different brand. Maybe Canidae? It's really similar to Innova but more people complain about diarrhea with Innova than Canidae.

I think the concern is, is if your dog develops food allergies later in life, you wont have a "novel" protein to fall back on. Fish diets can be very healthy for dogs though and there are other "novel" protein foods out there like Venison and Duck etc.

This only holds true if the other diets a dog is exposed to don't contain fish either though - so since many popular brands already include fish ingredients of some sort (e.g. herring in Innova and Canidae, salmon in others etc.) it's a moot point.
