Ok Tidus has now reached 8 months. I dont even know if he is stil considered a puppy? But anyways, my parents brought over thier 5 month maltese and as soon as it got here. Tidus was happy and energitic and playful. And then he pee'd all over different furniture in my house. I know this is his hormones kicking in. I am so undetermined in if I should neuter him. I say "no" because well I'm male and you know there is a sensitive connection there. But my other half says I need to do this for the sake of my house, and well Tidus well-being (diseases). Im just afraid that when I get him back from the vet, he wont be my Tidus anymore. Also my vet discourages neutering, does anyone know why?

Get a new vet. That's just crazy. I have never met a vet that wasn't pro-neutering.
Neutering is SO beneficial for their health and your piece of mind. Plus it's the responsible thing to do.
