In response to your edit, do you have an extra $30,000? Because between needing to pay off what's left on the RAV and buying the Subie I'd like to have, that's probably about what it's going to cost, once you also figure in re-tagging, plating and testing.
Bah humbug. :(

Well, AFTER you pay off the Rav and it dies or gets sold, buy a Subaru. Don't buy new, though.

One should never buy a new car. It's a rip-off.

Nolu, you could leave the cat here at my place and middie at Zoom's. Then live out here :)

Unless it's a GTD. Then you should buy one new. Just because.

YESSS!

I can live in a little cardboard box on that rock that I liked. My new house:

Sorry I accidentally ignored you last night. The movie and the dogs were a bit loud, lol.

Well my part has come back to me already! So as soon as I get enough coffee in me to be coordinated, and JJ gets out of bed, we'll go hopefully put my car back to running order!

Well, dropped the part in, drove it around the block to see...

Apparently I have the broken transmission issue, not just an outdated chip. :(

So...who wants to have a party? :D ;)

They had a recall on an O2 sensor in the cat. converter. I've had that part replaced...or at least it was still under warranty. Either way, I didn't have to pay for it.
Things dealing with emissions or the cat are handled differently. Depending on the problem, they can be forced to recall them.

That was an issue I had last year, this is something totally different. I did find out that there is a class action lawsuit against Toyota for this very problem, though God only knows how long that will take to get resolved.

So in the meantime, I had my ranting time, my worrying time and now I'm doing something about it! I'm following up with all these leads I've gathered over the last couple of weeks and will be working as hard as I can to completely book up my calendar this month! I'm not constrained by an hourly wage or set salary...I need a lot of money in a fairly sh so by golly that's what I'm goign to go out and earn!
