My neighbor has a lab and a golden retriever. Me and my neighbor have been in 4H and done agility together and always have walked the dogs together. Her golden is so smart and was the one she did agility with and she really enjoeyed and was awsome at it. She got the golden as a puppy I think 3 years ago. Well I got a text msg from her the other day. she was very upset and said her parents got rid of her golden. Her mom was going on and on about how the dog was depressed because she didnt get enough attention this winter. So her mom told her they were taking her to a farm where she can herd cows and they have another dog for her to play with and she gets to run the whole property.
So in reality they get there, the other dog is barking its head off and her golden is dog aggressive anyways. They are right on the highway with no fence for the yard. And the woman taking her was saying how she wanted a dog to bring the cows in for her... this is a 3 year old golden retiever!! So I'm feeling really bad for my neighbor and her dog, and her other dog who has no been kicked out of the house and has no friend any more. I dont understand how someone can have a dog for 3 years and then just dump it off somewhere for no good reason whatsoever.
